Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh (D) Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon). Meet and greeted at the International Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel in downtown Saigon. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Mekong excursion (B/L) You will depart from the hotel at 7:30 am. We drive to Vinh Long and enjoy a boat trip along the rivers narrow waterways, overhung with dense vegetation. We will have the opportunity to try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards. For lunch we serve the local delicacy - an Elephant’s ear fish. We continue with a visit to Cai Be floating market and a snake farm in My Tho on the way back. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 3: Saigon – Cu Chi tunnels - Night train to Nha Trang (B/L) We take a day tour of Saigon with our guide, who will share the rich history and cultural nuances of the city’s sights. We will visit to the Reunification Palace, War Remains museum, Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Afternoon, we will visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War. The tunnels were part of an underground network that was built by the Vietcong during the American War. It reached from the southern tip of the Ho Chi Minh trail near the Cambodian border to the Saigon River. You will have the opportunity to creep into a tunnel to experience how the Vietcong lived and fought during this time. Come back Saigon for lunch and free at leisure. After dinner, we transfer to airport to catch SE2 Reunification express to Nha Trang, departs at 20:30 pm. Overnight on Train (Soft sleeper berth in A/C coach)
Day 4: Nha Trang arrival - Island tour (B/L) Pick up at Nha Trang at 5:20 am in the morning and drive to hotel for breakfast and relax. Today you can explore this picturesque coastal town and hopefully soak up the sun. You will first of all take a private boat ride out into the harbor to Hon Mun Island – where you will do snorkeling to see coral reef. Also offshore is Hon Tam island, a new beach paradise in clear and turquoise water, here you can relax, swim or enjoy floating bar and fruit party. Lunch with fresh seafood here and continue visiting to fishing village. Along the bay, high cliffs form craggy homes for the swallows that make the nests for “bird’s nest soup”. Overnight in Nha Trang city.
Day 5: Nha Trang City tour (B/L) This morning we start to visit Nha Trang city with the Panogar Cham towers and one of these four towers is dedicated to Shiva Hindu god. Another is dedicated to Ganesha, whose human body is attached to an elephant head. The largest tower is dedicated to Lady Po Nagar, or the Goddess Uma, the wife of Shilva .These group of Cham towers is located on top of low Marble Mountain formerly surrounded by the sea. After here we continue to visit the Long Son pagoda where there is the biggest Buddha statue of Vietnam. If you want you can enjoy Thap Ba mineral muds bathing – near Long son pagoda before come back hotel. Afternoon, you are free at leisure. Overnight in Nha Trang city.
Day 6: Nha Trang – Day train to Da Nang - Hoi An (B/L) Rising very early, you will be picked up at the hotel and driven to the Nha Trang railway station for the E2 train to Danang, departs at 6:10 am. The hotel breakfast will be prepared in boxes and you can eat your breakfast when seat on the train and enjoy the coastal landscape from Nha Trang to Danang. Train will pass Van Phong bay, Dai Lanh beach, Tuy Hoa beach, Quy Nhon City beach, Sa Huynh beach and many historical and cultural sites of ethnic minority people as Cham, Bana… Lunch on train by your self. The train will arrive in Danang at 14:40 pm. On arrival, you will be picked up and transfer to the famous Cham sculptures museum with its collection of relics from the Cham Kingdom for visiting. We continue to Hoi An ancient town where we can wander around the small streets full of old houses. Overnight in Hoi An
Day 7: Hoi An tour (B/L) This morning, we will visit Hoi An ancient town. where we can wander around the old streets, a mixture of Japanese and Chinese architecture that reflects its history as an important trading port. Hoi An is also a wonderful town to shop for silk and cotton cloth, especially fast tailor-made clothing. So this afternoon you are free for shopping and making clothes in the town or just go to Cua Dai beach for sunbathing and swimming. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An - Hue (B/L) After breakfast, we will drive through the spectacular Hai Van Tunnel (Pass of the Ocean Clouds) to Hue, stopping along the way to see sites that were such an integral part of the war and the shipments of supplies to the troops in the field. After check-in we will have a short break for lunch before head on to the see the Imperial Citadel- an impressive complex, first built in 17th century based on the ancient practice of geomancy. You will also have time to visit the completely different Khai Dinh royal burial place, flanked with a grandiose dragon staircase leading to its European-like castle built in the 1930’s. Khai Dinh was the father of Emperor Bao Dai, and his tomb was completed in 1931. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue – Night train to Hanoi (B/L) This morning you can take a boat ride on the Perfume River and visit some of the more interesting sites of Hue – Thien Mu Pagoda and the Minh Mang Tomb’s. Thien Mu Pagoda, which is located on the southwest bank of the river, is a memorial to these demonstrations. Here we find the car that took the senior Buddhist monk, Quang Duc, to Saigon, where he immolated himself. The car, a British Austin, is memorialized as a holy sight. The tomb of Minh Mang has an air of magnificence and formality, and its architectural design harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings. The surrounding rampart had three entrance gates and is comprised of approximately 20 structures arranged along an imaginary axis. You have few hours for shopping at Dong Ba market before transfer to Hue railway station to catch SE2 train to Hanoi at 16:10 pm. Overnight on train (Soft sleeper berth in A/C coach)
Day 10: Hanoi city tour (B/L) Pick up in Hanoi at 04:00am and transfer to hotel for early check-in, relax and enjoy your breakfast in hotel. Today we will begin to tour Hanoi, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature. Afternoon we walk around Hoan Kiem lake before enjoy one hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. In the early evening we will attend a traditional Water Puppet performance. Overnight at Hanoi.
Day 11: Hanoi – Ha Long – Hanoi (B/L) Heading out of Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, on arrival we cruise this UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoying a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. In the early evening we return to Hanoi following a lunch of freshly caught seafood onboard the boat. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi Departure (B) The day is at leisure until transfer to Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport for departure. End of service
