Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City (D) Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you are warmly picked-up and transferred to the hotel in the centre for check-in. An afternoon tour round Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon, features History Museum, Binh Tay Market in Chinatown, Thien Hau Pagoda and a lacquer workshop. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh/ Cai Be/ Vinh Long/ Can Tho (B/L) Leave Saigon for Vinh Long (136km). Vivid farming activities and the riverine life of the Mekong Delta can be seen en route. Take a boat ride to Cai Be floating market and then to Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet to discover the secrets of bonsai & orchard gardening. Onwards to Can Tho (40km). Overnight in Can Tho
Day 3: Can Tho/ Cai Rang/ Chau Doc (B/L) Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Mekong River to the bustling Cai Rang floating markets thronged with buyers and sellers moving around in boats laden with farm products. Taste seasonal fruits at a verdant orchard. Onwards to Chau Doc (120km) with a stop-over at Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary to view thousands of storks returning home at sunset. In the evening, take a pedicab ride to Lady Temple, full of exciting legends. Overnight in Chau Doc
Day 4: Chau Doc/ Phnom Penh (B/L) Enjoy a morning cruise on the Mekong River to learn about the feeding of catfish in their natural river habitat at floating houses. Visit Chau Giang Hamlet, home to coloured brocade woven by Cham Muslims. Take a boat ride to Phnompenh via the Vinh Xuong border crossing (2 hours). An afternoon city tour includes National Museum with a collection of art sculptures presenting different periods of Khmer history and Silver Pagoda located in the Royal Palace, famous for its 5,000 silver floor tiles and a solid gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds (weighing 90kg). A sunset cruise on the Mekong River offers a view of the locals at work along the banks. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Day 5: Phnom Penh/ Siem Reap (B/L) Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap, 400km from Phnom Penh. Pick up and transfer to the Angkor complex which used to be the capital of the Khmer Kingdom from the 10th to the 16th century. The majestic temples of Angkor in Siem Reap are now in the World Cultural Heritage list. The morning highlight focuses on Angkor Thom including the Southern Gate, the famous Bayon complex, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Ta Prohm. In the afternoon, visit the famous 12th-century temples of Angkor Wat covering 81 hectares with its distinctive five towers emblazoned on the Cambodian flag. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 6: Siem Reap (B/L) In the morning, explore exquisite brick monuments such as Prasat Kravan, Pre Rup, Eastern Mebon, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. In the afternoon, visit Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda and Ta Som Temple. Then enjoy sunset from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill with a panoramic view of the western Baray and Angkor complex. Day 7: Departure Siem Reap (B) Spend last minutes for downtown shopping (wood & stone carvings, silk,...) or at leisure before check-out. Transfer to the airport for departure back home. End of our services
